Starting out small

It seems crazy that 7 years ago I created my garden in my front yard. I was renting a house that only had a front yard, and it was quite literally on a hilltop. It was the ideal location for getting sunlight for a large portion of the day as well as growing watermelon and cantaloupe. I never knew that a mixture of clay and soil would yield such a great harvest.

From a previous post on Facebook: “Today I bought all my veggies and herbs for my garden this year: tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans, cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe, spinach, romaine, sweet potatoes, onions, basil, cilantro, parsley, and rosemary.

I'm thinking that this will be a great growing season!”
